The base powertrain of the Silverado 1500 is a 4.3-liter V-6 with 285 horsepower and 305 pound-feet of torque. At the top of each lineup, the Chevrolet 3.0-liter six-cylinder diesel generates 277 horsepower and gets 460 pound-feet of torque, while the Ford one falls just short with 250 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque.
Exterior Features
The 2021 Silverado 1500 has a new Multi-Flex tailgate that you can configure up to six different ways, including as a standing workstation. For 2021, the F-150 has the pro power onboard system, so you can use the truck as a generator.
