The Chevrolet Tahoe and Ford Expedition are two of the largest full-size SUVs on the market. The Engines and Performance
The base engine of the 2021 Tahoe is a 5.3-liter V-8 with 355 horsepower. A larger 6.2-liter V-8 for the top-level trim puts out 420 horsepower, or you can opt for the new 3.0-liter turbodiesel. The Expedition has just one engine for every trim. It's a 3.5-liter V-6 gas engine that develops 375 horsepower.
Passengers will appreciate the Tahoe smooth ride due to the independent rear suspension and adaptive dampers. The independent rear suspension also makes the Tahoe easier to drive, and it has a responsive and precise steering system.
The Technology
Updates to the Tahoe for the 2021 model include a larger center screen for the infotainment system. In the Tahoe, you'll get a 10.2-inch touch screen compared to the 8-inch screen in the Expedition. You'll also get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with the Tahoe and a wired version in the Expedition.
Safety Features
Both the Tahoe and the Expedition offer a full range of driver safety aids. The Tahoe has a more comprehensive exterior camera system with multiple views and cameras for the tow package to help hook up a trailer.
