2021 Chevrolet Trax

The Trax LS is the entry-level model. It comes with 16-inch steel wheels, an acoustic laminated windshield, body-colored door handles, power-adjustable outside mirrors, daytime running lights, and halogen headlights. The LT adds LED running lights, heated and power-adjustable exterior mirrors, tinted rear windows, and a luggage rack. The Midnight Edition Package for the LT adds 18-inch black alloy wheels, all-season tires, front and rear skid plates, and black belt-line moldings and door handles.

Chevrolet also offers the Sport Edition for the LT, which has 18-inch alloy wheels, skid plates, and all-season tires, and it adds front and rear black bow-tie badging and body-colored door handles.

Power for both Trax models comes from a 1.4-liter turbo four-cylinder gas engine. It works along with a six-speed automatic transmission to generate 138 horsepower. Front-wheel drive comes standard, and Chevrolet offers all-wheel drive as an option.

The turbo four-cylinder engine provides the small Trax with plenty of power, and it efficiently works to get you up to 31 mpg on the highway when equipped with the front-wheel drive. The tight turning radius and small footprint make the Trax easy to maneuver in small spaces and perfect for urban driving.

The two rows of seats in the Trax have room for five. There are 18.7 cubic feet of storage space behind all the seats, which increases to over 48 cubic feet when you fold the rear seats down. The front passenger seat also folds down when you need to fit long items in this compact vehicle. Some standard cabin features include cloth upholstery, a manually adjustable driver's seat, and a compass. The LT adds cloth and leatherette upholstery and the option for a power-adjustable driver's seat.

A 7-inch touch screen comes standard along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, The Chevrolet infotainment system with Bluetooth, voice commands, and the OnStart telematics system with a Wi-Fi hot spot. You also get a six-speaker stereo with satellite radio and two USB ports. Remote start is an available option along with cruise control if you opt for the LT trim.

Both 2021 Trax models come with a rearview camera, a full suite of air bags, traction and stability control, and anti-lock brakes. Chevrolet offers the Driver Confidence Package as an option for the LT, which adds a blind-spot monitor, rear parking sensors, and it also comes with a rear cross-traffic alert feature. There are two complete LATCH system sets for child safety seats in the back and a tether anchor in the middle seat. The anchors are easy to find, and the system is easy to use.
