The Power
The 2022 Bolt EUV is a new model in the lineup. It comes with a 200-horsepower electric motor powered by a 65.0-kWh battery pack. The Kona has a similar powertrain. Its electric motor and 64-kWh battery generate 201 horsepower. The Bolt EUV's advanced lithium-ion battery takes just 30 minutes to charge enough to deliver a 100-mile range while the Kona takes 47 minutes to charge the battery from 10% to 80%.
The Technology
Inside, the Bolt EUV has a 10.2-inch touch screen for the infotainment system, and it has an 8-inch digital infotainment screen. The standard infotainment screen in the Kona is an 8-inch touch screen, and it comes with HD and satellite radio. The Bolt EUV comes standard with a Wi-Fi hotspot, and it has a smartphone app that you can set up to connect to charging networks.
The Cabin Space
Both the Bolt EUV and the Kona Electric have room for five. The Kona has slightly more cargo space behind the rear seats, but it only opens up the space to 45.8 cubic feet when you fold the rear seats down. The Bolt EUV has an impressive 56.9 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats down.
