2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer

The latest Chevrolet Trailblazer is available in four trim levels: the LS, LT, Activ, and RS. The LS uses 17-inch silver-painted aluminum wheels, along with black front and rear lower fascias. The LT trim is equipped with 17-inch high-gloss black aluminum machined wheels, deep-tinted glass, power-adjustable outside mirrors, roof-mounted side rails, and silver-painted fascias instead of black.

The Activ trim level rides on 17-inch sport terrain tires and uses LED taillights and titanium chrome-plated fascias. The top-end RS gives you the true feel of a sports car, with 18-inch high-gloss black unidirectional aluminum wheels and front and rear black bow tie emblem fascias.

The 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer offers two choices for the engine, depending upon the trim level chosen. The LS and LT both start off with a 1.2-liter Ecotec turbo engine delivering 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque.

For a little more power, the Activ and RS are equipped with a 1.3-liter Ecotec turbo engine which has 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet torque. Both engines can be configured in all-wheel drive and are paired with a continuously variable transmission, helping to smooth out shifting and improve fuel economy.

The latest Trailblazer has different modes the driver can switch into on the fly, such as normal, snow, and sport. If you expect normal commutes most of the time, the standard suspension on the LS, LT, and RS models will deliver a comfortable ride in city and on the highway. Conversely, the Trailblazer Activ has off-road suspension tuning, valuable for anyone who will be camping or off-roading.

The 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer LS and LT models get up to 29 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on highways. However, while city performance is identical, Activ and RS models get improved highway mileage of 33 mpg, so you really don't lose out from choosing to upgrade.

Despite being a compact SUV, the latest Trailblazer is notably roomy inside. Five people can comfortably sit in the Trailblazer's cabin. The LS and LT both appoint their seats in cloth, whereas the Activ and RS use leatherette upholstery, along with a leather-wrapped shift knob and steering wheel. The RS and Activ variants also get a leather-wrapped shifter and steering wheel with heating functions, plus a rear center armrest.

As for audio and entertainment, the 7-inch touch-screen infotainment system and six audio speakers come standard, but the option of an 8-inch touch-screen infotainment system appears in every model above the LS. The option of a Bose premium seven-speaker audio system is available in Activ and RS models.

The 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer is equipped with highly advanced safety features. Some of the most notable or recent ones include automatic emergency braking, a following distance indicator, forward collision alert, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, a rear vision camera, and a tire pressure monitoring system with fill alerts.
