All of the sorbet made on site is vegan. Some of the flavor variations include honeydew, lemon, and pineapple and strawberry. The shop also offers vegan gelato and sugar-free gelato. If you need a cake for your next celebration, the shop has five different sizes. They also have coffee to enjoy with your sweet treat. Bring your dog as the shop has gelato just for them.

Nicecream

Science meets sweet at Nicecream. This unique shop is located at 726 King Street and is open seven days a week. Customers watch as their homemade ice cream treats are frozen in front of them using liquid nitrogen. Customers enjoy a variety of flavors, including vanilla bean, mint chocolate chunk, and pineapple upside down cake. There is also a rotating special offered every week.

Pop’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream Co.

Traditional sweet treats are available in Old Town Alexandria. Pop’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream Co. is on King Street. They open at 11:30 a.m., seven days a week. The classic vibe of the location makes customers feel as if they have stepped into another time. Customers have a choice between scoops, sundaes, and milkshakes. Each scoop is in either a cup, cake cone, or waffle cone.

There are 31 flavors on the menu, including classics like chocolate and strawberry. There are also fun flavors like bubblegum, rocky road, and chocolate peanut butter cup. If you need a lactose free option, ask for either vanilla, chocolate, or a twist.  There are eight different toppings, including sprinkles, chocolate sauce, and nuts.

Enjoy one of their specialty sundaes, including The Campfire. It comes with vanilla ice cream, crushed graham crackers, hot fudge, marshmallow sauce, and whipped cream.  The Happy Birthday to Me includes yellow cake ice cream, sprinkles, hot fudge, and whipped cream.
