There’s also the sporty RS trim that boasts a unique exterior trim and the luxurious Premier trim. Here’s some more information on this stylish, yet robust SUV.

Three Engine Choices

With the 2020 Blazer comes three engine choices. The L and 1LT trims feature a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 193 horsepower and 188 pound-feet of torque. With the 2LT and 3LT trims, comes a powerful turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that’s good for 230 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. A 3.6-liter V-6 engine that kicks out 308 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque powers the RS and Premier trims. With this engine, you can tow up to 4,500 pounds.

All engines are paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive is standard. However, you can opt for all-wheel drive with the two upgraded engines.

Impressive Performance

The Blazer offers a Traction Select system that features various drive modes, which allow you to adapt your car’s settings according to your needs. The modes include:

  • Tour: This mode switches to front-wheel drive for efficient driving
  • Sport: With this mode, you can enjoy a sportier and more responsive ride
  • All-Wheel Drive: This mode provides improved traction to keep you safe on slippery surfaces
  • Tow/Haul: Select this mode when you want to tow heavy loads
  • Off-Road: This mode optimizes throttle and chassis control systems

If you opt for the RS or Premier trim, you’ll gain even more driver control, as these models feature an available Advanced Twin-Clutch system that sends torque to the wheel with the most traction.

Luxurious Interior

This two-row SUV can either accommodate eight people or, if you replace the second-row split-bench with Captain’s seats, seven. The cargo area provides a respectable 21 cubic feet of space, which you can extend to 64.2 cubic feet by folding the second and the third-row seats flat. To prevent your items from shifting around in the cargo area, opt for the available Flexible Cargo Partition and Horizontal Cargo Net.

Standard features include keyless ignition and entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, active noise cancellation, cruise control, a rearview camera, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and premium cloth upholstery. Higher trims add nice-to-haves like power-adjustable front seats, leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and ambient lighting.

Modern Tech

The standard infotainment system is well-equipped, offering an 8-inch display, two USB and two USB-C ports, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot, and six speakers. You can also opt for various advanced driver-assist features with the Blazer, such as a 360-degree parking camera, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, forward-collision alert with automatic braking, and pedestrian detection.
