The 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 is a sturdy pickup truck that’s ready to tackle all of your hardest jobs head-on. From the strong engine options to the cutting-edge safety packages, we’re breaking down the most important features of the new Silverado 1500 here.
Mechanical
There are four possible engines for the new Silverado 1500, with the standard being a TurboMax engine that delivers 310 horsepower at 5600 rpm and 430 lb.-ft. of torque at 3000 rpm. The available engine options include a 5.3L EcoTec3 V8, a 6.2L EcoTec3 V8, and a 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine. The 3.0L Duramax yields the most powerful performance, offering 305 horsepower at 3750 rpm, 495 lb.-ft. of torque at 2750 rpm, and a maximum towing capacity of 13,300 pounds.
Exterior
The Silverado 1500’s exterior is one of the biggest reasons it’s so frequently chosen as a work truck. Features like the CornerStep rear bumper and Durabed cargo box are designed to make your toughest work tasks easier. The CornerStep rear bumper gives you increased traction when accessing your truck bed, which is a high-strength steel Durabed.
The Silverado 1500’s WT base trim comes with 17-inch silver steel wheels that are paired with all-season blackwall tires to ensure your truck is ready to take on any terrain. The bumpers, mirrors, and door handles are all black to give your truck’s exterior a bold appearance.
Interior
There’s 6-passenger seating inside the Chevy Silverado 1500, which has two split bench seats. Under the front bench, you’ll find a roomy storage compartment for items like tools or clothing. The rear bench conveniently folds up to create a larger space on your 1500’s floor.
Standard interior features in the Silverado 1500 include a 7-inch Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration. The 6-speaker audio system provides even sound distribution throughout your cabin, while the 3.5-inch driver information center displays engine warnings and important insights like speed and mileage.
Safety
Safety packages in the 2025 Silverado 1500 include Chevy Safety Assist and OnStar Basics. Chevy Safety Assist consists of various driver-assistance functions, including Forward Collision Alert and Following Distance Indicator. OnStar Basics contains several digital emergency resources, such as Automatic Crash Response and built-in voice assistance.
