Engine and Performance

While all Colorados are powered by a new 2.7L turbocharged inline-4 engine, there are several tunings available to suit a range of needs. WT and LT models come standard with 237 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, providing an excellent balance between performance and efficiency. The 310-horsepower 2.7L of the Z71 and Trail Boss produces plenty of grunt for off-roading excursions with its 391 lb-ft of torque. 

For the most demanding jobs, you’ll want to opt for the ZR2’s motor, which delivers even more torque at 430 lb-ft. The Colorado’s independent front suspension and solid rear axle continues to serve the truck well when navigating over uneven surfaces and through tight turns. An available automatic locking rear differential and performance skid plates make the truck an off-roading monster when combined with its dependable all-wheel drive system.

Towing and Hauling

With its maximum towing capacity of up to 7,700 pounds and the ability to carry up to 1,500 pounds within its five-foot-long bed, the Colorado is the most capable pickup in its class. Its Trailering Package adds a 2-inch receiver hitch and 4- and 7-pin connectors with an electric harness for connecting a variety of equipment and lights. The available StowFlex tailgate provides a drainable and lockable compartment for use as a cooler or tool storage. 

Interior

One of the most noticeable changes in the Colorado lineup is its redesigned passenger cabin, which features a sleek dashboard and center console with more easily accessible controls. In a segment-first, the instrument panel boasts a fully digital display that makes it easier than ever to view important vehicle information. As every Colorado comes in the crew cab body style, there’s ample room for five passengers.

Infotainment
