Tires Your original tires are covered by this warranty and, additionally, by their manufacturer's warranty. If your tires suffer damage covered by the warranty within the first year or 12,000 miles, there is no charge for replacement tires or labor for installation and balancing. After the first year, labor costs are still covered in full, but the cost of replacement tires is pro rata until warranty expiration. Powertrain Limited Warranty The powertrain includes your engine, transmission, and drive systems. All these components are protected for five years or 60,000 miles. All components covered by this warranty are detailed in your warranty handbook. Certain engines enjoy extended warranty coverage, as we'll see below. Extended Engine Protection if your Chevy has a Silverado TurboMax or a 3.0L or 6.6L Duramax Turbo-Diesel, the engine is protected against any defect for five years or 100,000 miles. Hybrid Vehicle Propulsion Battery Coverage if you have a hybrid Chevy, its highly specialized battery pack is protected by warranty for eight years or 100,000 miles. This battery, like all batteries, slowly loses storage capacity. This is naturally occurring, not a defect, and isn't covered by warranty. Restraint System Warranty This warranty covers your airbags, seatbelts, and all their system components. Coverage applies for six years or 72,000 miles.
