Enjoy delicious food, live entertainment, and plenty of exciting activities for the kids, and enter Fido in the pet contest. There will also be a 5k race and a beer garden. Please only drink if you’re an adult, take it slow, be responsible, and don’t drink and drive.
The Annual Eagle Festival
The Annual Eagle Festival on Saturday, May 13, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., hosted by the Mason Neck State Park Visitor Center at 7301 High Point Road in Lorton, 13 miles from Fairfax, is a wonderful free event highlighting the natural history of Northern Virginia. Spend the day learning to care for the environment in a festive atmosphere, watch fascinating live animal shows, enjoy hands-on activities, and join outdoor education clinics.
You’ll also learn about the park’s resident bald eagles and see them fly overhead, have the opportunity to get close to hawks, owls, and reptiles, and enjoy delicious food and live music.
