Local Coffee Shops Near Fairfax, VA - Jim McKay Chevrolet

We all need coffee to get us going in the morning, and sometimes you want something more than you can get with your home percolator. When you wanna visit a great coffee shop and have a nice latte, cappuccino, or something really different, we have some options for you in Fairfax, VA. These are our favorite coffee shops in the area.

De Clieu Coffee & Sandwiches

De Clieu is an upscale joint with specialty coffees and sandwiches. It’s right in the middle of historic downtown, and they take great pride in the quality of what they offer. We’ve never had anything here we didn’t love, from their homemade syrups to the delightful coffee and fresh food. We’re also excited every season to see which specialty drinks they’ll be bringing out.

Their regular specialty drinks include an amazing honey charcoal latte, flavored chai latte, and a Maker’s Mark latte that includes just enough of Maker’s Mark syrup to give you a hint of dark, comforting warmth without any inebriation. You should also try their London Fog: a tea latte made with Earl Gray and vanilla. They also offer delicious gelato, filling breakfast sandwiches, some nice lunch sandwiches, and baked goods like scones, cinnamon rolls, and melt-in-your-mouth croissants.

Fairfax Simply Social

This coffee place prides itself on offering the best quality coffee from sustainable sources. They work hard to continually educate themselves, and all their customers, on everything that goes into the supply chain bringing us our morning cup of Joe. The result? You can feel good about getting your coffee here and be confident that whatever you buy is supporting local families and farms and sustainable coffee and tea plantations around the world.

In addition to delicious coffee, they have breakfast egg sandwiches made with cage-free eggs, an absolutely delicious pesto chicken melt, and Belgian waffles covered in strawberries, blueberries, and whipped cream whipped up themselves. Try their nitro brew, their dirty chai, and the locally made kombucha.

Caffe Amouri

This is another shop dedicated to quality, community, and sustainability. They’re located on Church Street and go out of their way to offer you what they hope will be the best coffee you ever taste. They were recently named the Virginia Green Restaurant of the year, and their coffee is small-batch roasted. Their beans are available wholesale, too. Try their Adventure Hand Pour, their Honey Matcha Latte, and their Mexican hot chocolate.

Their coffees and hot chocolates are all available by the gallon for events. They also offer great teas of all kinds. Their flatbread sandwich is delicious and fast for a quick meal. They also offer baked goods, grilled cheese sandwiches, cakes and brownies, a number of gluten-free offerings, and the Lola Special: a cup of whipped cream with a Milkbone dog biscuit on top for your favorite furry friend.

We love these coffee shops as delicious, sustainable alternatives to the standard chain places. Visit one or two, and then come visit us at Jim McKay Chevrolet!
